COOL FACTS about The New Hope Ivyland Railroad

  1. Passengers ride on restored 1920s vintage passenger coaches, antique bar car, the authentic steam locomotive and the historic diesel locomotives.
  2. The train will take you along the same historic route that was filmed in the 1914 movie series Perils of Pauline. Pretty cool right? Yea, we didn't see it either, here is a trailer.
  3. The kids won't think this is interesting, but for us older folk here is a little trivia. In 2008 The Perils of Pauline was selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the United States National Film Registry, as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." Wikipedia
  4. Passengers purchase your tickets in the original Witch's Hat New Hope Train Station, which was once the location of the railroad telegraph operator who sent and received all messages for the town of New Hope, PA. This building has been in operation since 1891.

Passengers for regular excursion trains may board either at New Hope or at Lahaska Station, (1 mile east of US 202 on Street Road, Lahaska, PA).

Passengers may get off at either station and take a later train back to their originating station. All trains depart Lahaska Station 20 minutes past the hour.

Last train of the day ends in New Hope.
